"Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary." - Jim Rohn
On October 25th, seniors in Mrs. Mercer's English IV classes at Winn High participated in a lively book talk.
Students selected a book to read and were asked to participate in a group discussion where they shared topics such as themes, conflicts, and social issues. Students engaged in interesting, thought provoking conversations about their books.
The purpose of this activity was to encourage students to read more and it was a total success. To conclude their talk, students were asked to choose one of the books discussed within their discussion circles as their next reading option.
Great job, seniors! Don't stop reading!
