On January 9th, C.C. Winn's Senior Juan Vasquez participated as part of the NHS's committee of Environmental Science to recycle paper and plastic across the campus. Juan went door by door to educate students and staff members about the importance of recycling and different methods to reduce waste disposal. This committee collects hundreds of pounds of paper and plastic on a weekly basis. With this in mind, it's important to understand how pollution can be a contributing factor in our environment that surrounds us. It doesn't take much to help out, so you should also take the initiative to help our planet. Go Mavericks!
