On February 22, 2020, C.C. WInn Pre-AP students in Mrs. Idalia Salinas' classes were tasked with reading the short story, The Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allen Poe. The story is about a man who is being tortured during the Spanish Inquisition. The students were paired up and read through the short story to find literary elements. The students created a one-pager where they analyzed conflict, figurative language, plot, and other literary elements. Students then presented their analysis to the class. Go Mavericks!
