Valentine's Day is not just about love but also about friendship. On February 14, C.C. Winn teacher Mrs. Camarillo took the opportunity to have students in her English 1302 class take a closer look at quotes found in song lyrics. Each student drew their final school friend "Valentine" and dedicated a special song to them. Students needed to extract three quotes from the lyrics and analyze them and connect them to their Valentine. Students were encouraged to present their special Valentine with a goody bag and an acrostic poem made especially for them. Go Mavericks!
