We Wear Red for Camila

On Friday, February 7, C.C. Winn Student Council promoted National Wear Red Day! Mavericks supported the cause and wore RED to raise awareness about heart disease as the leading cause of death among Americans, especially women. This cause is very meaningful to one department in particular, the C.C. Winn English Department. This cause is near and dear to the department because of one little girl, Camila Venegas! Camila is the daughter of Mrs. Angie Venegas former English teacher at WHS. Today Camila is a beautiful healthy little girl who enjoys softball and being with her siblings! Once a Maverick; always a Maverick!
