CARRIBEAN’S DEADLY UNDERWORLD is an Informative TV special that featured the Nautilus, the ship that MJH teacher Alejandra Martinez spent time on as part of the Educator at Sea program in August
In case you missed it, Memorial Junior High teacher Alejandra Martinez was selected as a 2013 Educator at Sea and spent time aboard Dr. Robert Ballard’s ship of exploration, the Nautilus, over the summer. Dr. Ballard is one of the most accomplished of the world’s deep-sea explorers and is famous for his discovery of the sunken Titanic.
National Geographic is aired a special Sunday night that featured Dr. Ballard and the Nautilus. Much of the footage that will air was taken while Ms. Martinez was on board the ship.
ABC’s Nightline aired a short segment on Dr. Ballard on Wednesday. The segment can be viewed here:
