This week (May 5-9) is National Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week (or SubWeek).
This special week allows campuses and the EPISD community to recognize and thank the hundreds of individuals who fill in for permanent teachers every day across the District.
These professional educators perform a vital function in the maintenance and continuity of daily education. In EPISD, substitutes are the educational bridges when regular classroom educators are absent. They are called early in the morning, take over lessons with short notice, and ensure that quality education is maintained in our classroom. They ensure that time is productive and furthers the students’ learning.
