The
Christmas Season is a time for family, as well as a time to reflect on our
lives, and to be grateful for our health, well-being, and so much more. Benavides Elementary's Student Council
decided to take on a giving project for the month of December. Students were asked to bring in donations for
the Boxes for Boots Program, which is spearheaded by Mrs. Annette Mata and
other military moms. Boxes for Boots is
a program that sends care packages to young men and women who are serving in
the Armed Forces abroad, and are unable to spend Christmas with their families. A total of $110 was raised by the Benavides
Elementary Student Council for this worthy cause.
Way to go Bulldogs!
