EPISD Police Department is pleased to announce their Officer
of the Week – EPISD Assistant Chief of Police Crestino Ynosencio.
Crestino Ynosencio began his career in law enforcement in
1996 with Crystal City Police Department as a dispatcher. It was in 1998 that
he obtained his telecommunications certificate and two short years later in May
of 2000, Ynosencio graduated from the Middle Rio Grande Law Enforcement
Academy. The latter part of the same year, he began his career with EPISD
Police Department. Ynosencio holds certificates in Master Peace Officer,
Advanced Telecommunications, Basic Instructor, Field Training Officer, and
School Based Law Enforcement. He also regularly attends active shooter response
trainings.
As a police officer for EPISD, Ynosencio has served the
district and community in the following areas: Eagle Pass High School, South
Side Elementary Schools, Early Childhood campuses, and as the Chief’s Designee.
He currently resides as the Assistant Chief of Police.
