On April 28th, the C.C. Winn and Eagle Pass High School Career and Technical Education Computer Maintenance students held there 2nd Annual Modified Computer Competition at Frank Chisum Regional Technical Center.
The students designed and built computers made out of donated and recycled material and computer components. The project begin in September with the research and brainstorming phase of the project. In October the students visited the school districts surplus warehouse to find material and parts that they could use in their project.
Over the course of 8 months the students were able to build a functioning computer for free because of their efforts in using recycled and donated parts and material.
