Thursday, November 16th, students in English II Pre-AP at CC Winn completed an extended activity connected to their persuasive writing prompt.
After reading articles explaining the living conditions of farm raised animals, students were asked to take a stand on whether or not the holiday season supports animal cruelty.
Once essays were submitted, students then disguised their turkeys in order to help spare the life of each individual turkey.
Students enjoyed gathering information, taking a stand on the issue, and tuning into their creative side to disguise their turkeys.
