Wednesday, December 6th, Ms. Ana Ortiz, Coordinator for the Ponytails for Love Organization, presented the students and staff at San Luis Elementary an award.
The award was to recognize the school for their outstanding commitment the past 5 years to bringing cancer awareness to the parents, students, and community members of Eagle Pass.
This years event, which was held in October, brought in over 50 hair donations.
Students at San Luis Elementary are proud to help in any way possible those in our community suffering from this genetic disease.
