Thursday, February 8th, CC Winn held their annual ELA Parent’s Night: Renaissance Faire.
Mrs. Venegas and Mrs. Holguin's English III classes worked hard to create display projects such as paintings, banners, and sock puppets all representative of William Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Hamlet."
Mrs. Venegas' class even produced a modern day reenactment for The Tragedy of Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
Students were asked to recreate the play using sock puppets. Different groups had different assignments such as creating sock puppets, backdrops, a puppet booth, and various of other props and items required for the performance.
Each class and group was responsible in writing the script and making it suitable for an audience of all ages.
This project and production allowed the students to better understand, analyze, and synthesize The Tragedy of Hamlet and its elements of drama.
As an added bonus, her class representatives, Mickey De Los Santos and Paulette Rios, won Prince and Princess of the Renaissance Faire!
Mrs. Venegas and Mrs. Holguinwould like to congratulate her students on a job well done and thank the parents for their unconditional support.
Their dedication towards their learning is evident through the quality of work they produced.
Way to go, Juniors!
