Thursday, October 11th, a group of Winn teachers and staff members joined forces with Eagle Pass Diagnostic Veterinary Clinic to aid in the hamburger plate sale to benefit Mr. Edward Palacios and his family.
Mr. Palacios was involved in a car accident that resulted in the amputation of both his legs. Although he finds himself in stable condition, unfortunately, he still has a long road of recovery ahead of him
Maverick Nation came together to pick up orders at Winn High School to be delivered during all three lunches.
Special thanks go out to Mrs. Ivy Purcell, Ms. Rebecca Mancha, Mrs. Melissa Jacquez, Ms. Karina Kypuros, Ms. Olga Flores, Mr. Óscar Fernández, and Mr. John Garcia for helping.
The effort put forth by these individuals resulted in the generous donation of $928 for the family.
