Wednesday, October 24th and Thursday, October 25th, the students in Mrs. Torres-Hdz's English I classes at Winn High School continued work on their dictionary and vocabulary skills.
Students worked individually on their own tombstone to bury their now "dead" words.
These words are meant to be put to rest for the rest of the year and new words with greater power are to be used in their essays instead.
Students were asked to choose a word, find 7 synonyms, and create a visual to represent their word.
They then presented the word's eulogy and tombstone to the class, so the rest of the students could take notes for future reference.
Mrs. Torres is proud of her students and her Wall of Words!
