Transition words are an essential part of every well-written essay.
Therefore, Tuesday, October 2nd, Mrs. Diaz' English I students at CC Winn practiced using transition words in their writing with a fun activity.
The students were placed into groups and were asked to roll a dice that had different transition words written on each side.
Depending on what word the dice landed on, they had to write a short paragraph or sentence using that transition word.
In order to add some thrill into the assignment, one of the sides of the dice had a "free candy" opportunity.
All of the students were able to practice writing multiple transition words and help each other develop necessary skills to improve their writing.
