It is always refreshing to see CC Winn High School alumni excelling at their jobs and communities.
Saturday, September 29th, the Thundering Maverick Band received a great surprise when they received support and guidance from former band members and long-time supporters, Jaqueline Olivares and Javier Sanchez.
Although Ms. Olivares and Mr. Sanchez do not work for EPISD, they continue to support and play an integral part of our Music Program.
This is the fifth year they work with the Band Program and Winterguard program.
These two former Mavericks are striving in their careers and are great examples for the band and Mavericks!
Mr. Javier Sanchez Jr., WHS C/O 2010 Bachelor of Social work and Master of Science in Social work from the University of Texas at Austin Steve Hick's School of Social work.
Javier is currently employed with Communities in Schools Of Central Texas as a Smartkids Coordinator.
Ms. Jaqueline Olivares WHS, C/O 2012 Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education with a minor in English and working on a Master's from Texas Women's University in Dance Education with an emphasis on administration.
Jacky currently is the Dance Director for Mountain Valley Middle School.
