Friday, January 11th, Mrs. Ibarra's 1st grade class at Graves popped into some tasty knowledge.
The class is anxiously awaiting National Popcorn Day on January 19th and in preparation for it they learned the origins of the holiday.
The class learned that Americans consume 13 billion quarts of popcorn a year, more than any other country in the world!
They also found out that a majority of the popcorn produced in the world is grown in the United State and that Nebraska leads the corn belt in popcorn production.
They were especially happy when they received their own tasty popcorn during the lesson!
