Saturday, April 13th, CC Winn High School hosted their 10th Annual Maverick 5K Run/Walk under the helm of College Advisor, Mrs. Maria Luisa Uriegas.
Mrs. Uriegas created this run to raise scholarship funds for the seniors at CC Winn High School and the Mavericks are proud to say that every year this event has been growing.
A special thank you to Mr. Matthew Uriegas, Ms. Marianna Uriegas, Mrs. Ivy Purcell-Gloria, Ms. Tanya Tijerina and Mrs. Raquel Garza who all helped greatly with the coordinating and organization of this event.
As an avid 5K runner, Mrs. Uriegas knows that running/walking a 5K is a challenge; more so if the weather is difficult.
For this alone, Mrs. Uriegas is thankful for all her champions who braved the weather for this great cause.
CC Winn would also like to thank all the sponsors for always thinking of their students and they would like to thank their campus organizations, French Club, ROTC, Softball, and Baseball for coming out in full force!
