March 25th - 29th, Eagle Pass High School Life Skills and Student Council students celebrated Down Syndrome Awareness Week by painting motivational banners and posting them throughout the school.
During the daily announcements some of the Life Skills students took turns saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
Thursday, March 28th, both groups enjoyed a wonderful picnic under a blue sky.
The weather was perfect to have Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Samuel Mijares, EPHS Principal John Cox, Dean of Instruction Mr. Jaime Gonzalez, and Instructional Officer Mr. Sergio Esquivel assist the students flying kites and tossing a football around.
Everyone involved enjoyed a great lunch of burgers, chips and soft drinks afterwards.
