Wednesday, April 3rd, the Pre- AP Chemistry students in Ms. Byrne's class at Eagle Pass High School made 3D covalent molecules.
The students worked in pairs to create various molecules using molecular geometry.
Typically, students are only able to demonstrate different shapes of molecules in 2D on paper.
This lab gave the students are opportunity to physically see 3D molecules they usually have to visualize in their heads.
