Wednesday, April 17th, the freshmen in Mrs. Diaz' English I classes at Winn began their persuasive research papers.
Students were placed in partners and allowed to choose one controversial topic to research.
Each student picked a side of the issue and was asked to find evidence to prove his/her position statement.
This has sparked great interest in the students and brought forth productive conversations among partners and as a class.
