WHS Springs into Action

It was a very busy week for Winn High School at the Our Lady of Refuge Food Pantry on Friday, April 12th, as they closed out their Elementary Food Drive Competition. 
StuCo and NHS volunteers met several times throughout the week to receive and sort TRUCK LOADS of donations from 13 different schools from around our district! 

The final tallies and the 2 winning schools are as follows:

Student Council sponsor Dionni Olivares would like to thank everyone who participated! Your contributions to this project will help feed HUNDREDS of families all the way through the summer!

Congratulations to Nellie Mae Glass and San Luis Elementary! You each get to send 100 students to Winn on April 27th for the Spring Into Action Leadership Workshop hosted by our very own Student Council and National Honor Society!

A special shout-out to RVLA and EPJH for bringing in donations despite not being in the running for the elementary-level workshop.
