Friday, May 17th Ray H. Darr's Division II Lady Maverick Softball Team participated in their championship game with the City of Eagle Pass Parks and Rec.
The girls played their hears out and placed 2nd in their division.
Coaches are extremely proud of these girls for being hard workers, determined, and having a BIG heart for the game.
There is nothing more that a coach can ask for than a great group of coachable kids wanting and willing to do what it takes to learn the game.
For some of these girls to have never owned a baseball mitt, held a bat, even less taken a swing, reaching the championship says so much.
The Maverick Coaching staff would like to thank the parents for staying committed to the team and making this possible.
