Monday, May 6th, the students in Mrs. Flores’ English II third period class at C.C. Winn High School received a very special visit from Oscar Rodriguez, C.C. Winn alumni, and now also a Texas Peace Officer.
Officer Rodriguez stopped by for Teacher Appreciation Week and also got the opportunity to share some words of wisdom and inspiration to these Mavericks.
This special visit was just the perfect transition from their career research paper to their introduction of The Alchemist, by Paulo Coehlo, which is all about finding your personal calling.
Thanks to Officer Rodriguez for stopping by and thanking his former teacher on this special week and for being an inspiration to these students.
