Ray H. Darr Maverick students in Mrs. Castillon's 1st grade class got excited as they went on a voyage just like Christopher Columbus did more than 500 years ago.
Students worked hard to learn about the voyage while taking a light snack and finding big clams and seashells on their way to the new world.
