Friday, October 4th, Mrs. Dunn's 8th grade ELA classes at Memorial Junior High kicked off their new unit, The Thrill of Horror, by analyzing "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, and completing a digital escape room.
The Mavericks worked diligently in groups to solve point of view jigsaws, answer STAAR formatted questions and decipher clues in order to escape the woods with Ichabod Crane!
