On October 8, C.C. Winn National Honor Society created experiments as their lesson for 5th grade Guiding Angels visit.
They explained the difference between mixtures and solutions through the experiments they had prepared.
To define a mixture the Guiding Angels showed them an experiment with sand and iron filings.
The students at Perfecto Mancha each got to separate iron filings from the sand with a magnet.
The students were thrilled to have all participated in the science experiment the angels had provided for them.
Furthermore, C.C. Winn's Guiding Angels held another experiment which helped students define what a solution is.
To define solution, the Guiding Angels provided the students with the ingredients to make lemonade.
The students enjoyed their lemonade along with the cupcakes NHS rewarded them with for being good students.
NHS wants to see 5th graders pass their science STAAR and that is why they prepared science lessons.
