Every month, EPISD, in conjunction with IBC Bank, selects a scholar on the basis of accomplishments and dedication.
On October 8th, Mrs. Mercer's English 1301 DC senior, Miss Natalia Santana, was the first student of the year to be honored with the title of Scholar of the Month.
Miss Santana is an extraordinary student who goes above and beyond to excel academically.
In addition to being currently enrolled in all dual credit classes, this year, Natalia is also serving as president of the National Honor Society and the Art Club.
Her goals are to attend Texas A&M at College Station to pursue a degree as a veterinarian.
Because of her commitment and dedication, Maverick Nation is confident that Miss Santana will accomplish everything she sets her mind to.
Winn High School would like to congratulate Miss Santana for this well deserved recognition.
