WHS's HOSA Attends Leadership Conferene in San Antonio

On Saturday, October 12th, CC Winn's HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) attended a leadership conference in San Antonio at East Central High School.
Throughout the day, everyone was separated into different groups to have a chance to do hands on training.
The students were able to learn how to properly put on a tourniquet, pack a wound, learned about teamwork and concentration, learned about competing and the different events they would be able to compete in, learned how to properly put injections on and had a deeper lesson about diabetes.
The students now have an open mind about what to expect when going into the real world and how to help others in need.
The students also had the opportunity to open their minds to different careers there are in the medical fields.
This leadership conference prepared the members & officers of HOSA to become more prepared for their upcoming competition season. HOSA is ready to take on competitions and make this a memorable year.
Go Mavs!
