WHS's New Kickapoo Elite Club Represent at Palo Alto College

On October 12th, 2019, Kickapoo Elite Club President Manuel Suke Jr. and Vice President Aislee J.Salazar, students from C.C Winn High School, traveled to represent their very Native American heritage at Palo Alto College in San Antonio. 
The college held an event to recognize all native Americans in help of removal of the name of "holiday" Columbus Day to Indigenous People's Day. 
Also Palo Alto college gave a Q&A that helped the student body have an opportunity to get an insight of the following students cultural world.
 K.E.C President Manuel gave a speech to the audience that was present at the event about some of the traditions they cannot due to sacred reasons.
 As a matter of fact, they were invited by elders and other adults that affiliate with the tribe or are part of the tribe. 
President Manuel Suke Jr. and Vice President Aislee J. Salazar took the chance to not only represent their culture and heritage but also their organization Kickapoo Elite Club as Maverick students that attend C.C. Winn High School.
