‘La Llorona’ to be performed by the Theater at C.C. Winn at Gonzalez Fine Arts Center November 4th at SAC
Sixteen C.C. Winn High School students will present two ghost stories from “The Spirit of Hispania” by Jules Tasca at 7 p.m. on the stage of the Raul Gonzalez Fine Arts Center at the Student Activity Center.
Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door.
In honor of Dia de los Muertos, the stories of “Maria” and “La Llorona” will be retold by the Winn Drama Club, who are under the direction of Adolfo Flores Jr.
The two plays will be presented to the four secondary schools during the week of November 1-5, with two performances scheduled for each campus. “Over 3,000 students will get the watch the ghost stories,” said Mr. Flores.
Playing the title role of Ix Ana (La Llorona) is senior Ana Lucia Hernandez and senior Karyme Flores will play the title role of “Maria.” Other students performing the lead roles in the two plays are Jesse Cisneros, Miguel Herrera, Lauren Morales, James Fowler and Serenity Zuniga.
