This
upcoming school year, Eagle Pass Independent School District will be hosting
its first annual Anti-Bullying Week the week of April 24th – 28th,
2017. The purpose of this week is to raise awareness of the dangers that
bullying can do to our students. Thanks to a partnership with CC Winn High
School Student Council, EPISD will now adopt Winn’s “IMPACT Week”.
IMPACT
Week celebrates the awareness of gender tolerance, suicide prevention, and
physical/cyber bullying. Programs like these are helping move EPISD to the
fore-front of education systems by creating thoughtful and empathetic students
who can work harmoniously together without fear of judgment. IMPACT Week will
be a spirit week with dress up days and a video challenge that will help
promote the anti-bullying movement. Also, as an added bonus jeans will be allowed to be worn district-wide Wednesday - Friday if you participate in this event. Each campus is asked to create a short
video featuring their students participating in IMPACT Week and adding their
very own flair to the concept. For more ideas, please view Winn’s IMPACT Week
video on EPISD’s YouTube page.
