On Monday, September
11th, the 5th Grade students in Miss Castillo's class at Benavides Heights Elementary spent their class period
learning about the events that occurred 16 years ago on 9/11.
The students
watched a video timeline of the events and how they unfolded that day. Students
participated in a class discussion about why it is important to never forget
the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 and also talked about the
heroes that helped save many lives.
Students then worked on a writing
assignment entitled "A Day To Remember."
