A Very Special Bulldog Visit

Abi Guerra, a Bulldog Alumni and former 1st grade student of Miss Maldonado, paid a visit to Benavides to share Ms. Guerra's wonderful news of receiving a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
She accredited Miss Maldonado for being a part of her success and getting her to this level of achievement.
Miss Maldonado has been teaching for 39 years and has happily spent every single one at Benavides Heights Elementary.
She has taught 1st (28 yrs), 2nd (3 yrs), 3rd (2 yrs), and 5th grade (1 yr). Throughout these years she has also been a part of other extracurricular actitivites such as UIL Coordinator (15 yrs), Cheer Sponsor (10 yrs), and Reading Interventionist (5 yrs). She has served as PTO President, Secretary, and Treasurer as well.
Miss Maldonado has always exhibited a love for teaching, a cheerful disposition and a generous heart that is always ready to help those in need. She captures the true essence of what a teacher should aspire to be.
Miss Guerra truly shows us that when met with a great teacher a student can succeed through life’s limitations and strive to excel in whatever they do.
Thank you Miss Maldonado for everything you do and Benavides Heights is honored that you are part of their Bulldog Family.
Go Bulldogs!
