Monday, September 18th, the 2nd grade students in Mrs. Cook's class at Rosita Valley Elementary learned about Constitution Day.
They learned about the U.S. Constitution: We the People and that the Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787. They loved hearing about how the founding fathers of our newly formed government met in secret in the summer of 1787 to write the U.S. Constitution.
Students also read "We the Kids", by David Catrow which helped the students understand the U.S. Constitution even better and worked on a preamble scramble of the U.S. Constitution.
The Roadrunner truly enjoyed this lesson!
