On Tuesday, October 31st, C.C. Winn graduate, Grace Cantu, paid the Mavericks a special visit.
She went to Mrs. Camarillo’s English 1301 Dual Credit classes to share her college experience at Texas A&M and detail her high school involvement.
Cantu spoke about her accomplishments throughout her high school career and provided helpful advice to the Seniors on how to make their future lives at college successful.
For example, she stressed the importance to expose yourself to different groups in order to avoid cultural shock and recommended to be active within your college in order to not feel isolated.
Cantu motivated the Seniors to pursue a higher education as it is fundamental to ongoing success.
She is continuing her studies towards her masters degree.
The Mavericks are honored that Grace visited and are thankful for all the advice she has provided.
