C. C. Winn's English Department recently came together for a good cause.
They put together boxes with food items to donate to Father James C. Irving’s Food Pantry.
This is the first donation done by a department at C.C. Winn High School.
This good cause stems from a campaign known as 'Mavericks Give Back' that is spearheaded by Assistant Principal, Mrs. Aide Jiménez-Hernández.
The objective of this campaign is for Maverick teachers to teach their students about the importance of coming together as a community in hopes that their students can see that helping others is a practice that should be carried into adulthood.
This is just the beginning of 'Mavericks Give Back' and C.C. Winn High School has vowed to keep the cause going. Congratulations for coming together for a great cause, English Department!
