With the annual Maverick County Junior Livestock being almost 3 months away, 4-H Club and FFA members who show hogs validated their animals on Thursday, November 9th and Saturday, November 11th at the Show Barn.
Eagle Pass 4-H and FFA hold various validation days throughout the year for different animals for active 4-H and FFA members.
As the competition gets closer, the exhibitors work and prepare their animals for the big day.
Above all, showing an animal provides a great leadership opportunity not only in the show ring, but also in the local community.
Animal husbandry skills, team work, citizenship and leadership skills acquired through showing instills the qualities of a great future leader.
Good luck to all participants!
