Lobos Wrap Up School Year
Ms. Montes at Pete Gallego Elementary would like to congratulate her students on their academic achievements this year.
The students had their awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 30th, and Ms. Montes is proud of all her fantastic 4th graders.

Benavides Heights Elementary invites the community to come and spend Thursday evening, May 31st, with them at their Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A.

Bulldogs Visit Wonderland
Friday, May 25th, Mrs. Cantu's Life Skills class at Benavides Heights Elementary journeyed to San Antonio, Texas to visit Morgan's Wonderland.
Morgan's Wonderland is the world's first accessible family fun park for guests of all ages and abilities!
Morgan’s Wonderland strives to offer an environment where the common element of play creates an atmosphere of inclusion for those with and without disabilities, encouraging everyone to gain a greater understanding of one another.
The Bulldogs had a blast on their trip and hope to visit again very soon!
Stallions Discover the Pillowcase Project
Wednesday, May 30th, The City of Eagle Pass Parks & Recreation Department, along with the American Red Cross, stopped by Armando Cerna Elementary.
The 5th grade students were presented with Emergency Preparedness Curriculum which covered preparing and sharing what to do in case of a fire or a flood.
The Pillowcase serves as a carrying case during emergency evacuations.
Bulldog Graduation Festivities
Thursday, May 24th, Benavides Heights Elementary held their annual 6th Grade Awards Ceremony.
The students were treated to an awesome dance party following their ceremony in Exhibit Hall A at the Raul A Gonzalez Fine Arts Center.

Eagle Pass High School Diamond Dance Team would like to cordially invite everyone to their Peter Piper Pizza Fundraiser taking place Wednesday, May 30th from 4-9pm.

EPHS StuCo & WHS Drama Club Visit Schlitterbahn
With clear blue skies overhead and temperatures well over 105, there’s only one way to beat the heat; head on down to Schlitterbahn on the EPHS Student Council and Winn Drama Club end of year field trip!
The two groups of students traveled to New Braunfels, Texas on Tuesday, May 29th.
The students and sponsors enjoyed themselves tremendously keeping cool on the various water rides.
This trip marked the end of a very successful school year.
The students were accompanied on the trip by their sponsors Dolores Rodriguez DelaCerda, Adriana Castañeda, Adolfo Flores, and Annabella Barrow.
RVLA End of Year Bash
Tuesday, May 29th, RVLA wrapped up a successful school year with an exciting trip to Peter Piper Pizza!
Students, Staff and Parents enjoyed the celebration!

Liberty Alumni Reaches the Stars
Liberty Elementary would like to congratulate Eagle Alumni, Karina Velez, for being an outstanding role model to their students.
Karina graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelors of Business Administration and recently received her Masters of Science in Accounting.
She maintained on the Deans list throughout her college career, all while actively competing with the cross country/track team.
She was president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for 2 terms and proudly represented her school and Southland Conference twice at the national NCAA Student Leadership Forum.
Not only is Karina a proud product of Liberty Elementary, her love of running stemmed from her tutelage under Eagle Pass High School Cross Country Coach, Juan Gonzalez.

RVLA Wraps Up AR Program
R.V.L.A. wrapped up the Accelerate Reader Program on Tuesday, May 29th.
The 1st Grade students did an excellent job reading, testing and earning points all year through!
Xitlaly Sepulveda was the Top AR Reader and will be receiving her trophy soon.
Also, Mrs. Olivares' Class earned Top A.R. Class with the most points and earned an icecream sundae party.
All students had a delightful time cashing in their points at the A.R. store!
Rebels Make a Splash
The 1st and 2nd grade students at Robert E. Lee Elementary celebrated a Fun Day on Friday, May 25th.
Rebels enjoyed the whole day with a Texas Size Waterslide!
Afterwards, they were treated to ice cream treats!
Rebels know how to cool off!
EPHS BPA Dinner
Eagle Pass High School's Business Professionals of America held their End of the Year dinner on Thursday, May 24th.
Students received a BPA certificate of completion and graduation sash.
If you will be a senior next year and are interested in working in an office environment please contact Ms. Rachel Sahagun at Eagle Pass High School.
Practicum in Business Management is part of the Career & Technical Education program under the direction of Ana Laura Castillon, CTE Director.

Rebel Field Day
Thursday, May 24th, Field Day arrived for Robert E. Lee's 1st - 3rd graders.
It was a day full of fun, smiles, and great team spirit at Rebel Field.
The Little Rebels enjoyed their Field Day and embarked on some friendly competition!
EPHS Seniors Receive Graduation Regalia
Wednesday, May 24th, was an exciting yet bittersweet day at Eagle Pass High School as they Student Council Seniors received their graduation regalia.
The students received their National Association of Student Council’s white bibs with the NASC logo, the blue StuCo graduation cords, and officer medals.
StuCo Sponsors, Dolores Rodriguez and Carmen Casteneda, are both proud of their StuCo seniors for reaching graduation and they are excited to see what lies in store for them in their future.
They wish them the best of luck in everything they do.
You will be missed Class of 2018!
Tiger Alumni Reaches the Stars
Graves Elementary teachers and staff would like to congratulate Tiger Alumni, Sandra Mendoza, for being a role model athlete and student for future generations.
As Second Baseman for the Mavericks, Sandra has led her team to success and paved the way for other EPISD students to follow in her remarkable footsteps.
The Tigers wish Sandra the best in her future career goals.

Lobo Division III Baseball
Pete Gallego would like to congratulate their Division III Baseball team for their remarkable, undefeated season!
The Lobos won the big Championship game in the City of Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation baseball league.
Great job representing Pete Gallego on the field and being great roles models for the younger divisions!
Lobos Visit the Natural Bridge Caverns
Monday, May 21st, Pete Gallego Elementary's 6th grade went on a field trip to Natural Bridge Caverns in San Antonio, Texas.
The educational trip gave the students the chance to see the effects of weathering, erosion and deposition on the natural landscape.
They saw first-hand how water has shaped the Earth over millions of years and continues to build beautiful formations in the Caverns today.
Special thanks to the Lobo PTO for making the trip possible and to all the parents who accompanied the Lobos on this wonderful experience!
Mustang STAAR Rally
Teamwork TRULY does make the Dream Work!
Friday, May 11th, Perfecto Mancha Elementary’s "Where Our Scores Are Out of this Galaxy" STAAR Rally was a HUGE success!
The Mustangs were fired up for their exams the following week and would like to thank everyone who made their rally so awesome.
Special thanks goes out to CC Winn Drumline, CC Winn Cheer, Alan Gonzalez: CC Winn 2017-2018 Valedictorian, Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez, MC Daniella Byrne, I-vision Mr. Mauricio, Geramix Rios DJ and MJH Art Club for the beautiful backdrop!

Mancha Bids Farewell to Guiding Angels
Tuesday, May 22nd, Miss Rodriguez’ 6th grade class said farewell to their two CC Winn NHS Guiding Angels, seniors Khiara Estrada and Krystal Vasquez.
The 6th graders surprised them with treats and goodies to thank them for teaching them so many valuable lessons and always having a smile on their faces.
Miss Rodriguez also wanted to express her gratitude towards the Angels and gifted them a small token of appreciation.
Good luck in college Angels, the Mustangs will miss you!
Lil' Mav iStation Rockstars
LDC is very proud to introduce the top students for the May iStation Assessment.
This assessment targets skills learned in the classroom such as vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension and phonemic and phonological awareness.
Cerna Cashes In
Armando Cerna Elementary received $500 worth of books for hosting the Osbourne Book Fair.
These books will be a healthy addition to the campus' library and fun, new reads for the Stallions.

Eagles Treated to Luncheon
Monday, May 21st, Eagle Pass High School staff was treated to a special luncheon courtesy of Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Gilberto Gonzalez.
The luncheon was in honor of their recognition as one of U.S. News & World Report's Best High Schools.
EPHS received a Silver honor and is recognized in national rankings.
EPHS Administration and staff would like to thank Mr. Gonzalez for the delicious luncheon!
The also extend gratitude towards the EPISD Cabinet and EPISD Board Members for joining them in celebrating their success!
