EPHS StuCo Recognizes Great American Clean-Up Participants

Friday April 12th, Eagle Pass High School Sponsors Dolores Rodriguez and Carmen Castañeda awarded certificates and appreciation gifts to those EPISD organizations and staff members that demonstrated outstanding support of EPHS’ 1st Great American Cleanup.
Receiving recognitions were EPHS Principal Mr. John Cox for being the first administrator to show up at a cleanup and put on plastic gloves and spending three hours picking up trash at the Memorial Junior High campus. This was a a great way to lead by example!
Mrs. Yesenia Lopez, EPJH NJHS sponsor also received an award and a goody basket. She took the largest group of student volunteers to Graves elementary.
Mr. Issrael Rocha and the Seco Mines Elementary Student Council and Recycling Club were recognized for outstanding participation in the cleanup of their own campus.
Mrs. Sonia Mijares and EPHS Cheer and Interact Club were also recognized for participating in the cleanup. Not many club sponsors were willing to get up early and spend their morning cleaning up litter.
Also receiving recognition were EPHS Art Club and Spanish Club and Wingspan.

Many thanks to all those involved.
