Tuesday, September 17th, Benavides Heights Elementary Counselor, Ms. Maricarmen Rangel, presented the guidance lesson on respect with a video created by her sister, Ms. Patricia Perales, a 9/11 survivor who worked right across the WTC and had meetings there as well.
Ms. Perales talks about her experience that day and how New Yorkers came together after the twin towers were attacked.
Students learned about respect, kindness, and helping others.
