Tuesday, September 24th, Eagle Pass High School's Chapter of the National Honor Society participated in its first Guiding Angels trip for the 2019-2020 School year.
Guiding Angels is a program that started in the fall of 1990.
Benavides Elementary Counselor; Mr. Joe Pena came up with the idea of this mentorship program while consulting with the EPHS NHS Sponsor; Mrs. Martha Pena.
This mentorship program allowed NHS students from EPHS to visit with 6th Grade Students at Benavides Elementary once a month and mentor the young students on the 6 Pillars of Character.
The success of the program had been duplicated several times over the years at the various elementary schools in EPISD.
