Thursday, September 5th, Ms. Portillo's Biology Pre-AP students participated on their 1st Lab of the semester.
Students had previously learned about Biochemistry and the properties of water.
On this lab they got to observe the attraction of water molecules to each other and to other substances, known as cohesion and adhesion, by testing how many drops of water could fit inside a penny!
Students had a great time learning and trying to beat the previous record of 120 drops!
