Monday, Liberty Elementary students and staff celebrated the "16 de Septiembre" in honor of our neighbors' Independence Day.
Teachers presented mini-lessons and had activities and writing assignments comparing Mexico's independence from the United States independence.
Many students and staff dressed in green, red, and white; wore Mexican uniforms; and some wore traditional Mexican clothing.
