On Friday, September 13, 2019, the C.C. Winn Student Council hosted their traditional Blackout pep rally for the big varsity football game.
StuCo prepared all week with the help of the Yearbook staff and Leadership class to finish off a very spirited rivalry week.
These students assisted in making the decorations for the gym and helping to paint banners and set up the night before.
The StuCo officers took charge of the agenda and stayed after school all week preparing for their dance routine featuring Mayor Ramsey English Cantu.
Student Council President Samantha Cardenas was the MC for the rally, and Vice President, Yazmin Rivera, produced and edited a music video to broadcast their Maverick school spirit.
WHS would like to thank their special guests that took time out of their day to join them, including Winn alumni for coming back to their Alma mater.
