The students in Mrs. Idalia Salinas' English II class at were introduced to the vaping epidemic that is plaguing our nation at the moment.
Students read articles, watched news programs, and analyzed statistics in order to better understand the dangers associated with vaping among teenagers.
Students were tasked with creating a brochure with a partner that would include what is vaping, health effects of vaping, facts and statistics about vaping, and a persuasive paragraph where they convince other teens not to vape or to quit vaping.
Students were very creative as they were brainstorming their brochures that were turned in on Monday, September 23rd.
Students also learned what exactly happens to the body when they vape.
Armed with all the facts about vaping, Mavericks will be able to make the decision not to vape.
