WHS Has a Chemical Reaction

On Monday, September 30th, students in Mrs. Perez's Chemistry class at Winn High School assessed their knowledge over physical and chemical changes.
Her classes conducted a laboratory investigation in which they observed the difference between physical and chemical changes.
After learning about physical and chemical reactions, students conducted various experiments to put their newly acquired knowledge to the test.
Through these experiments, students were able to identify chemical changes in the formation of yellow precipitate, production of a gas, heat and light given off, and change in color or odor. Evidence of physical changes resulted in dissolving of substances.
The experiments were a success and Mrs. Perez was quite impressed with the work that her students put forth, making mastery of the lesson evident.
Great job, Mavericks!
