WHS's Food Science Bakes Pies

Monday, October 14, C.C. Winn students in Ms. Tan's Food Science class prepped and baked their first pie! 
In honor of the cold front said to come in any time soon, Ms. Tan's Food Science class made a pecan pie. 
Students used ingredients such as flour, corn syrup, salt, butter, eggs, and, obviously, pecans to prepare their pie and will be preparing all sorts of pies in the upcoming weeks. 
Some popular pies that the Food Science class makes include apple pie and pumpkin pie!
 Winn students continue to be very excited with the variety of foods that they have the opportunity to make. 

Furthermore, as the first nine weeks comes to a close Ms. Tan's Food Science will have the chance to advance their cooking skills during the second nine weeks where they will able to cook contemporary foods such as chicken fajitas, pizza, and even smoothies!
