Senayda Saucedo recognized as Commended Student


Eagle Pass High School is proud to announce that Senayda M. Saucedo has been named a Commended Student in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program .  A Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented to this scholastically talented student .

About 34,000 Commended Students along with Senayda, are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.  Commended students place among the top five percent of more that 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/NMSQT Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

A spokesperson for the NMSC stated that the young women and men being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success.

Students such as Senayda play a key role to the advancement of educational excellence. We congratulate her and hope that this recognition will help broaden  her educational opportunities as she strives to continue her pursuit in academic excellence.
